Like the true conservative libertarian that Ron Paul is, it is his belief that legitimate jurisdiction on a federal level shouldn’t have a say in how people choose to live their lives, unless that is harmful towards others. His personal belief may be against it, but he doesn’t let his judgement affect the freedom and the rights that people rightfully deserve. Unlike one Rick Santorum, who believe that since it is his belief that gay marriage and relationship is unholy and repulsive it should be others belief aswell, including homosexuals.
As mentioned, making this decision on a federal level is so unnecessary and frankly, quite stupid, like Paul have stated, the decision should be made within the individual states if there is a need for it. What harm could possibly come from a man and another man getting married in church? or a woman and another woman getting married in church?
And what harm could come from not allowing homosexuals marriage in churches? Alot of damage could come from that…. Denying privileged civilized rights to people can be very harmful. Especially when there’s no basis for it.
Why not let people do what they want with their lives as long as it doesn’t hurt others?
